Playing MIDI Files on PianoDisc PDS-128
By Peter Phillips

Re Bert Pasquale's query in 040902 MMDigest. The trick to play MIDI
from a computer on the PianoDisc is to set it to "Pass Through" mode.
First put a disk in the control box (essential!) then press the middle
button twice, until you see MIDI as one of the options on the display
panel. Press button 2 (under the MIDI option), then press 4 (under
the PASS option).

Connect the computer to the MIDI IN on the back of the control box and
you should find it plays SMF files. Normally the PD only plays MIDI
Type 0 files, but I think it will accept type 1 files from an external
source. Don't quote me on that one, though.
