It is with great pride that I announce the release of a new original
piano roll. The roll, titled "I Want To Be Bad", is hand-played by
Benjamin Intartaglia, the young French ragtimer and MMD subscriber
who performs frequently for the French radio program, "La legende
de Betty Boop".

This is the first piano roll by Benjamin and, considering the fine
talent demonstrated, we certainly hope there will be more rolls by him.
If you were fortunate enough to attend the AMICA convention in Denver
a few weeks ago, you heard the debut of this roll.
Benjamin wanted to make a roll that sounded like his own playing and
he achieved this by recording his performance at a Yamaha Disklavier
and then he lightly edited the MIDI file to remove brushed notes.
The result sounds just like his live performance for the radio program.
The finished piano roll has Themodist coding which adds accents if
desired when played on pianos with Themodist or Duo-Art systems.
Many people were involved in this collaborative effort and they should
be recognized. Benjamin Intartaglia's talented piano playing and his
enthusiasm made the project very exciting and worthwhile. Robbie
Rhodes converted the MIDI performance into a perforator data file,
and Bob Billings and Richard and Janet Tonnesen handled the perforating
and did a great job.
