Ray Siou and his Church-Pipe Band Organ
By Tony Greer

Hello Matthew, everyone, Thanks so much for writing. I had a strong
feeling, after listening all day to my recording of it, that it was the
same organ as #14 on your web page. You are quite correct in calling
it a "church-pipe band organ", since most of the pipes are from
dismantled pipe organs. It has a very distinctive sound with all those
pipes.

The cassettes that Ray included with orders were a nice bonus -- just
like Ray to surprise you with a little something extra. If you, or
anyone on the list, would like to hear an hour and a half of a quality
recording of this unique band organ, I could make a set of CDs available
for a very reasonable cost.

I had read somewhere else on the web that Ray had moved from his home
on E. 14th St., but a nice letter from Steve Bentley in Vancouver
suggests he is still there. Steve said he would be talking to Ray in
the near future, and would ask about the band organ. Perhaps Steve
could let us know how Ray is doing, and where he now resides.

Best Regards,

Tony Greer
