Ed Chaban laments that piano roll recutters are not willing to cut
single copies. Check out our operation, Rock Soup. We do the
recutting for John Farrell's JAM rolls, and will recut a single roll
from his list of over 600 titles. Granted, it's more expensive than
if we cut a batch but you can get singles from us.
We also do the same for our smaller list of Recordo rolls and Stuart
Barnes' Hogsback rolls. We can do this easily because all the roll
files are ready to load into the perforator computer. We can cut any
of the 9/inch formats, excepting those with "snakebites", and can
duplicate the original roll step with a high degree of accuracy.
We send out our catalogues by email, and John Farrell has a web site
with a complete list of his rolls, many of which have MIDI files you
can listen to. And we do take payment by PayPal.
I hope this lifts the blanket label of Luddite from our operation.
