I just took delivery on a Yamaha G2 with a PianoDisc CD retrofit. It
sounds great and plays well but I have a problem with two aspects of
the accompaniment/background music.
First, the audio quality is pretty marginal which I assume is a
function of the system's design. It's plugged into my Sony amplifier
with a pair of Radio Shack RCA cables and fitted with a ground loop
isolator since I had a major problem with background hum when I
first tried to install it. I can't adjust bass or treble with the
amplifier controls and the result is a muddy, thumping bass and equally
muddy upper registers. Second, when I try the Bypass button it cuts
out the piano player but the right channel produces nothing but a
whistle and clicking noises. Hence, two questions:
1. Can I make the playback sound better in some way?
2. If I ever want to use the Bypass, how do I kill the whistle and
clicking?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
