Holes Found in Wurlitzer Band Organ Drum
By Bob Stewart

While stripping paint off the large drum for my 146A Wurlitzer band
organ I have found two small holes at the top of the drum. One has
been plugged with a dowel and the other is open and shows a depression
that is about 3/8-inch in diameter.

Does anybody know what was mounted there? Also, does the larger hole
with the wooden grommet face towards the organ or away from it when
mounted on the shelf?
