Self-publishing has become quite easy. Printers are all over the
Internet. The term is POD or Print on Demand. Create your book in
Microsoft Word and submit to the printer. A perfect bound book of
50 pages with 10 color pages would probably run $4-5 a copy in runs
of 100-200. Single color printing would probably run $3. Case
binding (hardcover) would add about $6 to each copy. Kinko's can
even print your book.

[ Richard Vance's electronic book, "Rebuilding the Aeolian
[ Orchestrelle 58-Note Player Reed Organ" is published at
[ http://mmd.foxtail.com/MMD/Tech/AeoW/index.html It consists
[ of approximately 790 color photos and drawings and 80 hypertext
[ (HTML) files, a total of about 25 megabytes. I have no idea
[ of how many printed pages it would fill. -- Robbie
