[ J.B. supplied a MIDI file which we placed at the MMD Sounds site

Hello All, Having listened to this waltz tune on the Sounds page,
I immediately knew that I had it on a roll somewhere. The problem
was to correctly identify it as so many tunes from that period sound
similar to one another.
Emmerich Kalman was suggested as composer, which I first thought
was correct as I was sure that the tune is from the 1914 Broadway
show, "Sari", music by Kalman. But I finally tracked it down.
The tune turns out to be "Roses Bloom For Lovers," from the 1912
show, "Rose Maid," music composed by Granichstaedten. I have the
song on two medley piano rolls; one is selections from the show
(Aeolian 99145, "Rose Maid Potpourri"), the other roll is a Herman
Avery Wade arrangement of popular hits from comic opera (Aeolian 99335,
"Gay Broadway Medley Overture").
So, if no-one ever did reply to this one, there it is!
Best regards
Paul Baker
