"Dirk's Tuner" Program for Beating Pipes
By Ron Dorpsstraat

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Dear fellow grinders and organ friends, Recently I've got a tuning
device on my PC that works perfectly to tune my Carl Frei organ.
I've worked a lot with analogue tuners in the past but they never
seemed to function properly. Some time ago I received a test version
through http://www.dirksprojects.nl/ and I've been testing it
thoroughly. I've got to say, "Thumbs up, Dirk!"

Dirk's Tuner V1 is easy to use and has a clear layout. It's also
very stable and it's possible to measure the deviation in pitch very
accurately. This piece of software has an even bigger advantage when
tuning two tones that are very close to each other: you can even see
the beating of the two tones! I never saw this in another tuning
device before!

Tuning changed from a cumbersome time-consuming job to a smooth process
of bringing my organ into perfect condition.

I know this message looks like as one of the many advertisements but
you have to know that I don't have any interest at all in the sales of
this tuner except that I appreciate a good tuned organ. Take a look
at Dirk's web site or better yet, try Dirk's Tuner for free through
this link:

http://www.dirksprojects.nl/index.php?Button=1&Page=../Tuner/tuner.php&Lan=english

I know for sure that you will be surprised like me, not only about the
results but also about its price.

And when you're sitting behind your computer again, I invite you to
take a look at http://members.lycos.nl/orgeldraaier There you will
find not only organ grinders, but also a very extensive web links page.

Kind Regards

[ Dirk says at his web page, "Also instruments tuned with beating like
[ the accordion and the button box are supported. For these instruments
[ a special feature is present that can measure the amount of beating."
[ More information is at the page with the instruction manual.
