Seek Carillon Mover, Florida to Ohio
By Chris Riedl

Greetings, I have posted a few times before on MMD concerning my
interest in electromechanical carillons, but I am now presented with
a problem that I have not encountered before. I have been offered
parts from a Schulmerich Flemish concert carillon, specifically, the
bellrod cabinets with strikers, pickups, and preamps along with the
matching power supply. Basically, the instrument could be made to
play again!

However, I am not able to move them myself at this time, nor can
I afford a huge shipping bill since I am a college student. I am
located in Ohio (Cincinnati or Columbus) and the pieces are in
Jacksonville, Florida. The total distance is about 800 miles, which
is a bit too much for myself.

I was wondering if there are any moving networks or companies that
could move these pieces for me at a decent price. The pieces comprise
five metal cabinets weighing between 80 and 115 pounds each, depending
on the octave. Also included would be a power supply and some other
miscellaneous smaller pieces. The size of the cabinets vary from one
being about four feet tall, and the rest are smaller.

What do you folks suggest? I would appreciate any help you may be able
to provide! I would hate to see the heart of this beautiful carillon
be destroyed because I am unable to move it.

Sincerely,
Chris Riedl
Cincinnati/Columbus, Ohio
