[ In 040523 MMDigest, Matthew Caulfield inquired about the mysterious
[ disappearance of musical box movements from the Sankyo web sites.
There have been some major shufflings for the past couple of years here
at Sankyo and all the music business is now handled by us, Sankyo Shoji
Co., Ltd., one of the affiliates of Nidec Corporation who is the world's
leading manufacture of small precision motors. Sankyo Shoji is a member
of MBSI.
Sankyo's standard musical movements, such as 18N or mini's, are now all
made and sold outside Japan by our licensing partners. Here in Japan,
large cylinder movements such as 23N, 30N, 50N, 72N, and disc players
of 20N, 22N, 45N, and 80N are available as well as our regular musical
finished products.
Sankyo is still active in this music business, more than ever. There's
come up some unexpected situation, however, which had forced us to
temporarily remove the music site off www.sankyo.com. Try our URL
www.sankyoshoji.co.jp although it is mostly in our own language, but
sometimes seeing pictures helps you get the right ideas on the product
and service we are handling. We have been working on its English
translation.
Also contact my U.S. associate (agent), Tony Bernardo <sankyo@optonline.net>
(phone: 201-529-1978) who will be happy to help you with any (almost)
information in industry.
