John Tuttle asked what 65-note punch size he should recommend for
an art project. That depends more on the art than what size hole(s)
were used -- they were all over the map. I've done some research on
65-note hole sizes to determine the one to use for my 6/inch punch and
die set that is in the works for my perforator. Here are some punch
sizes I know of:
drill diam., perforator
gage inches
#49 0.0730 Capitol
#48 0.0760 Ed Freyer
#42 0.0930 Cremona
#42 0.0930 Carl Lambie
#40 0.0980 Play-Rite
#39 0.0995 US
#38 0.1010 Automatic
#36 0.1065 W-W, Connorized
#34 0.1110 QRS
On the theory that larger holes will work better on systems in
less-than-perfect shape, I settled on 0.104", #37 drill.
I use the RQB series punches from Ross Tool in Warren, Rhode Island,
