Announcing The Valley Forge Music Roll Company -- custom roll
scanning and laser perforating services for _any_ roll format.
It is my great pleasure to announce to our MMD family that The Valley
Forge Music Roll Company is in full operation. We produce rolls on
a custom basis, concentrating on material of significant historical
and musical importance. We also create new rolls, especially for
coin-operated instruments for which the supply of original material
is limited.
We have the capability to optically scan and subsequently perforate
a copy of any format piano or coin-op roll (regardless of size or
perforation gauge) via laser cutting. The scanning and laser
perforating equipment which we use is state-of-the art technology,
with numerous patents pending.
Some examples of the roll formats which we've successfully scanned
and cut include:
Wurlitzer formats: Pianino, APP 65n, APP 88n, Concert PianOrchestra,
Mandolin PianOrchestra, Mandolin Quartette/Sextette, Harp, Style
125, 150 and 165 Band Organs;
North Tonawanda/Artizan/B.A.B formats: Pianolin, Sextrola, 46-key,
48-key, 52-key, 61-key, 66-key, 87-key Band Organs, Capitol Photoplayer,
Mando Orchestra, Orchestrina;
Peerless formats: Style O large, Style D, Style RR Cabaret, 44-note,
Peerless Trio, Style DX;
Standard Coin-Op formats: A-roll, 4X-roll, G-roll, O-roll, NOS-roll,
H-roll, MSR-roll, M-roll, 65-note endless, Link Style RX, Link Style
AX, Coinola C-roll, Berry-Wood endless, Berry-Wood large format;
Standard piano roll formats: 88-note, 65-note, Ampico, Duo-Art,
Recordo, Welte Licensee, Welte Red, and others;
Regina Sublima 19-5/8" rolls.
We have 35+ years of intensive study and collecting experience in
virtually every area of perforated music as a background, and heartily
welcome the opportunity to work with collectors to save important roll
material. We will be most happy to exchange scanning/cutting services
for the privilege of borrowing and scanning rolls which are new to us.
If you have a "favorite roll" that's in rough condition and want a new
copy, we can help. Or if you're looking for some favorite tunes to be
cut on your particular machine's format (which didn't originally
exist), we can make custom rolls to order.
I look forward to talking with interested MMD members. Feel free to
email me or call at 610-650-9656 to discuss projects, or to obtain
quotations or other information.
Many thanks and all best regards,
Frank Himpsl
