For those of you who want to hear real carousel organs doing what they
do best, the COAA (Carousel Organ Association of America) is holding
an organ rally, June 11 through June 13, 2004, at Knoebels Amusement
Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. A large number (yet to be determined)
of carousel organs will be on display, playing their hearts out from
11 AM to 10 PM all three days. If you want to hear real carousel music
played in an authentic atmosphere, this is a rare chance.
Knoebels is one of the few remaining big time traditional family run
amusement parks that is still going strong. The park itself has a
Frati organ, two Bruder organs, a Wurlitzer 165 organ, and a Tangley
Calliaphone. These organs play every day. The COAA will bring at
least 15 additional good sounding organs.
Knoebels Park has free admission, free parking, and free picnic
facilities. If you like carousel organ music you don't want to miss
