I just received my first order from Sundial Wire and I must tell
everyone what outstanding quality and authentic reproduction antique
wire it is. All too often the wiring of an antique instrument is
ignored, sometimes with disastrous results.
We go to great lengths replacing the rubber cloth, leather, felt, etc.,
but remember that the old wire was coated in natural rubber which is
also subject to decomposition and when the wires heat up, no fire
Marshall would approve the playing of the instrument.
I ordered the #10 solid core cotton wire, which is identical to the type
you'll find inside Seeburg woven insulators. I am encouraging them to
locate or produce the insulator material as well and to offer it. You

Hilary is most helpful and loves to talk about antique wire.
Sincerely,
Stephen Kent Goodman
