Hello Folks, I'm writing in the hope that someone will be able to
point me in the right direction for replacement dampers for a Kalliope
instrument I am currently rebuilding. It has four combs, 2 x duplex and
2 x alternate strike. The dampers, however, appear different for each
location.
The duplex part appears to have an unusual type damper that quells two
teeth simultaneously. Is this correct? Or would it be some later
replacement?
If any fellow MMD'ers own a large upright Kalliope, particularly if it
was originally intended for the French market with the nameplate spelt
with a 'C', I would very appreciate any digital images for my own
research.
Thank you.
