Here is an announcement of a great CD that many of you will want to
acquire for your collections. It is music recorded in 1968-70 at
Svoboda's Tavern in Chicago Heights, Illinois. This was a unique
facility that provided nickelodeon and orchestrion music for its
patrons for many, many years. Dave Ramey, Sr. got his start repairing
and restoring instruments there in the mid 1950's.
The new CD contains 34 selections from over 10 different music machines,
plus two "live" tracks. This material was originally recorded by Dave
Junchen and Art Reblitz and, in the interest of full disclosure, was
transferred from old open-reel tapes to a digital format by this poster.
The disc, however, was made and is being released by Dave Ramey and is
available for $16.50 postage paid at the following address:
D. C. Ramey Piano Company
2878 Glenwood-Dyer Road
Lynwood, IL 60411-9781
