Hi, I have a 1924 version Lester Leonard player piano with roll
alignment, but player doesn't work. It's all original, cabinet is
a little rough and plain but can be easily finished to look much nicer.
I was astounded to hear that although the strings were fine, the
restoration to make it play again was over $2000. Restoration of
the cabinet was $1,100 extra and electrifying another $600. I am not
familiar enough with worth of these to determine if it is worth fixing
or just finding one that is already restored. With antique cars, it's
usually better to find one restored already unless you can do the work
yourself.
Anyway, I would have it restored if its worth the money, but don't want
to through money into something not worth it. Please help. My email
is <madscientisto@comcast.net>. Thank you.
best regards,
Karen
