Cuban Book Organ
By Ed Gaida

These four photos were sent to me by a frequent visitor to Cuba. He is
trying to buy one of the new organs being manufactured there. Shipping
would have to be to a country other than the United States with a
transfer made to the US at a later time. Little does he know that the
US Customs is going to look for a tag saying were the organ was made.

He can offer nothing more than the photos which I have on my website
and the fact that the organ factory is about 400 miles from Havana in
Holguin. More information can be found in the MMD archives,
especially the one printed in the FOPS publication, The Keyframe.

I did my research in the MMD archives and came up with photos pretty
much the same as those shown at:

    http://www.edgaida.com/cuba1.html

All of this came about due to an inquiry about the organs I am
currently building. Seems this fellow wants something more robust
than a 20 note busker.
