German Song "Raise the Flag High"
By John Page, UK

Dear MMDers, Does anyone know the German march "Hoechst Vengal",
translated to "Raise the Flag High"? Apparently it was sung during
the Second World War, but the Germans now deny it ever existed.
If anyone can locate a copy of the sheet music, or even a decent
recording of it being played, I'd be grateful.

Regards,
John Page, UK

[ The song might be "Die Fahne Hoch" or "Die Fahnen Hoch",
[ the unofficial Nazi hymn also known as "Horst Wessel Lied".
