Don't like to be picky, Nick, but shouldn't that be "momentum"?
Inertia is what has to be overcome to move a body. Momentum is what
has to be overcome to bring it to rest.
Admittedly it would have increased inertia when stationary. But isn't
a moving flywheel is all about momentum? Or have I got it all wrong?
