Composer Pedro de Zulueta & "Fluffy Ruffles"
By Mike Knudsen

A friend once played me his CD album called "Fluffy Ruffle Girls",
consisting entirely of piano rags (about a dozen) composed by women.
Most of them were pretty good. I don't recall whether any of the rags
were titled "Fluffy Ruffles" or not. I believe the CD was on the
Nonesuch label, of Balcolm and Rifkin fame.

I also would expect that Pedro Zulueta was a Spaniard who moved to
Britain to capitalize on the music market there, following in the
footsteps of Handel, Muzio Clementi, and one of Bach's sons.
