Turners Musical Merry-Go-Round
By John Page, UK

Following the announcement that Turner's Musical Merry-Go-Round is
to close, I would like to comment that, although living quite near,
I haven't been to the museum for many years. There is a Wurlitzer
theatre organ on the site, which is the main attraction. The shows
feature singing, dancing and comedy, all in 1950's style. There is
also a carousel, although now without a working organ.

> This further reduces the number of mechanical music venues in UK
> open to the public.

Contrary to this statement, I believe that the last mechanical organ
was sold some time ago.

Regards,
John Page
