There is a wealth of information about Mozart's 'Musical Dice' game on
the web. If one goes to google.com and enters <Mozart dice> into the
search box, over 30,000 hits will be returned, including links to pages
where you can push a button and hear a MIDI rendition of a computer
generated result. I'm sure the information being sought (instructions)
is detailed on several of these sites.

[ Carousel Publications, Ltd., offers Mozart's original game for
[ composing music, "Musikalisches Wurfelspiel", K516f, called "Melody
[ Dicer" for short. A variant game for ragtime music fans is

[ A good overview, with an entertaining interactive tune generator,
[ is at http://sunsite.univie.ac.at/Mozart/dice/index.html I chose
[ the harpsichord voice (patch 7 for left and right hands) and pushed
[ the button "Make Music!" By Jove -- it sounded like Mozart, or else
[ a piece that Mozart composed and discarded! Links to MIDI files
[ of genuine Mozart compositions are provided, too. -- Robbie
