Semantics
By Matthew Caulfield

Re: What's an Orchestrion?

The bottom line is that language just isn't precise.

I worked for 35 years with a man who was a polymath and
a genius of sorts. He wanted a specific word for everything
that exists or could be imagined and a discrete meaning for
every word in the language.

But it doesn't work that way. What is the difference between
"big" and "large"?
