"Het Snotneusje" & Incident of May 7th, 1945
By Hans van Oost

Dear friends of mechanical music, Although I don't want to spoil your
Christmas I would like to ask your attention for the following link:

http://gemeentearchief.amsterdam.nl/schatkamer/300_schatten/tweede_wereldoorlog/doden_op_7_mei_1945/index.nl.html

You will find a compilation of films made by amateurs on May 7th, 1954
in Amsterdam of the infamous shooting incident on the Dam plaza. The
film starts with a still scene, and it may take some time to start,
depending on the speed of your data connection.

The scenes are very oppressing, but they give a unique time document.
Lest we forget!
