I carry my Wurlitzer 146-B in a trailer that was made for me by
Haulmark Trailer Co. [now Haulmark Industries, Inc.] in Indiana.
Of course, I went through a Haulmark dealer who was also located
here in Michigan.
The price was reasonable and the trailer has stood up well for me
over the past twenty-one years that I've had it. I'm sure that
Haulmark is still in business and can probably be located through
the 'Net.
My trailer was built with a long horizontal door that opens up and
down on the "front" side, a smaller door on the "back" side for me
to get in and out and operate the organ, and a double door at the
rear of the trailer for loading and unloading the organ.
I bolt the organ down to the floor of the trailer using bolts that
run through the bottom boards of the organ down through the floor of
the trailer so I have to get underneath the trailer to tighten the
nuts on the bolts. When travelling, it's best to remove the side
drums and tied them down on the floor.
My trailer is about six and a half feet tall inside and twelve feet
long. That allows plenty of room for the organ, a roll storage
cabinet and my Honda generator as well as several other items such
as photo albums and supplies.
