Marking Pneumatics Before Disassembly
By Bill Maguire

I repaint the portions of the upper and lower boards that show, so
that's not a good place for numbering. The part of the pneumatic that
gets glued to the deck board gets sanded so it is not a good place for
any numbers either. The only place left is the underside of the upper
board where the number can be visible by looking through the hole in
the bottom board.

It is best to hide any numbers or other marks and or use pictures or
diagrams. The goal of a high quality rebuilding is to make it look
like it just came out of the factory.
