Materials for Mandolin Attachment
By Bill Mackin

I want to put a mandolin rail back into my player piano. The one
I removed during rebuilding was definitely not the original (I hope!)
because it was simply a warped, splitting piece of raw wood.

The MMD Archives contain lots of info on the tabs and cloth (I'm
going to try thin leather and split sections of hardwood dowels),
but no info on what to use for a bar. I'd like something that looks
kind of nice for the times I remove the front to show it all in action.
Any suggestions? Material? Where to find it? And if metal, how to
best glue the leather on? Thanks.

Bill Mackin
