I am the owner of a Nicole Freres musical box which dates from around
1828 and is serial No. 7703.  It plays three airs and, because it is so
early, it does not have a gamme number but it has three separate tune
numbers: these are 467, 537, 538.  The cylinder is 5" long and it has
109 very fine teeth.

The reason for this message is that I need to find out the tuning scale
for the comb; it is very badly damaged and has about half it's teeth
missing.  Two years ago a plea for help was placed in the "Music Box"
journal but to no avail. I have since found out that Nicole serial No.
5523 has the same three tunes, so I would like to contact the owner of
that box if possible, with a view to obtaining some information.
