Chickering Grand With Welte Licensee Player

The serial number can sometimes be found on the treble side of a strut
dividing the tenor from the bass section, of which there are two in
Chickerings. I have older ones that have the number as part of the
soundboard decal.

I would say the Chickering would have had to be a special order to ever
have a Welte player in it. Chickering was one of the American Piano
Company (AMPICO) brands
