Rebuilding a Player Piano in the Customer's Home
By Frank Adams

I once had an Ampico Chickering Grand 5 foot 4 inches. The Ampico
system (only) was restored by a tech named Larry, who has since
passed away. He did it all in my home, and he did it nicely and
quickly, with the help of 8 fifths of whisky -- he would not work
without a sufficient supply. It did not cost much but that was in
1965. He was an excellent technician but he died of cirrhosis of
the liver.
