Book on J. W. Whitlock & Wurlitzer Automatic Harp
By Dana Hildebrand

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hello All, In case anyone is interested, I have finally completed my
book on my great grandfather, J.W. Whitlock. It is called "Two Miles
Ahead" and is available only through me. I have written, printed and
bound these books myself, so it is not available in any bookstore.

The spiral bound book covers J.W.'s entire life and encompasses such
accomplishments as the Wurlitzer Automatic Harp, sheet music production,
his stepped hydroplane Hoosier Boy, various Whitlock boats, his family,
his home, the Skylark radio, the coin-operated slot game (the Darby),
the Laughery Club, the J.W. Whitlock Chair Factory and a lot more.

Also included are excerpts from actual letters written by J.W. where
he discusses his third wife, his dog and the exciting races in which
he took part -- among other things.

There are approximately 330 pictures in black and white and even a
few in color. The back cover includes an imprint from the actual
J.W. Whitlock Company seal. The foreword was written by an old family
friend, Q. David Bowers.

The book is $25.00, plus shipping (book rate is cheaper!) If anyone
is interested, please email me at the address below.

Thanks for your time,

Dana Hildebrand
