Mauricio Calderon (ca. 1880-1945) was the owner of the music
store, "Repertorio Musical Mexicana", established around 1920 at
408 N. Main Street in Los Angeles.
According to the book, "Becoming Mexican American - Ethnicity,
Culture and Identity in Chicano Los Angeles 1900-1945," by George
J. Sanchez, Oxford Univ. Press, 1993, page 182:
"Calderon was in charge of everything in Los Angeles that related
to Mexican music. ... He was a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, and
died in Los Angeles. His store advertised itself as 'La Unica
Casa Mexicana de Musica Mexicana Para los Mexicanos'."
Hope this helps.
