Finish of Sustain and Soft Pedal
By Phil Housh

While I was cleaning up my Seeburg Celesta, I started cleaning the
sustain and soft pedals and related hardware. I removed years of
grime and found out the black pedals were made of brass.

I polished them up and they look very nice, but I also got to wondering
if Seeburg had really intended them to be polished brass or if they
had been colored dark. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your time,

Phil Housh
