Double Combs in Musical Boxes
By Mili Rowden

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Unfortunately, I am not able to collect music boxes; however, I have
several CDs on antique music box music. I note that some of the
disc-playing instruments featured on the Internet have "double combs."

I have always wondered what the purpose is for this arrangement of
combs and how the star wheels pluck both combs simultaneously.
Can someone explain this?
