Converting T-98 Welte to Play T-100 "Red" Rolls
By D. L. Bullock

I agree with Jonathan Holmes. I see no purpose in converting one
system to another system. The only way I would consider it would be
if it could be put back without damage in a short period of time.
If it is something that there are lots of them around, that might make
it more acceptable. For example, I have no problem with converting to
a nickelodeon many of my 200 player pianos I have stored. Some of them
are rare, however, and they would never be changed by me.

I have seen one Duo-Art grand that had a separate box attached. One
could play Duo-Art rolls as from the factory, but you could go to the
cabinet next to the piano and put on an Ampico roll which would use the
Duo-Art stack with the Ampico works found in the cabinet. That would
be acceptable to me.
