Hello, I was surfing the Web to find information on barrel organs and
I came upon a Web page where they had information on unusual mechanical
instruments; among them, a Violano Virtuoso and a mechanical banjo.
Then, I fell upon the name "Play-a-sax and Clarola". There was a
picture of the instrument that could be enlarged. Being blind since
birth, the picture was no use to me, so I asked my dad to explain it
to me. I get the idea of the mechanism being attached to a sax or
a clarinet, but how do you get it to work? Are there any other
instruments of the sort, excluding the Rolmonicas?
Again, are these harmonicas cranked? What surprised me, was that
these instruments were directed to children -- it must have demanded
a lot of air!
Last question: can I find a sound of these instruments? Thanks in
advance for your answer.
Regards,
Maryse Glaude-Beaulieu
