Serial Number of Knabe Ampico Grand Piano
By John McClelland

Greetings all, I have a Knabe 5-foot 8-inch Louis XV Ampico A.
The serial number got lost during a rebuild (before I bought it).
I'm wondering if there are some other places I might look for a serial
number, in order to get a date from the Pierce Piano Atlas, without
having to disassemble the action. Otherwise, I have to say that it
was made somewhere between 1924 and 1929, based on going through the
AMICA bulletin and bracketing the extant pianos.

Thanks,
John McClelland
