I would like to know if anybody has any information about Final Cut.
I have tried to contact Mr. Ames about it but never received a reply
back.

[ "The Final Cut" was published by Legend Software Systems, Edmonton,
[ Alberta, Canada. The last DOS version was published in 1992 and
[ soon afterward the product disappeared. The MIDI editor/sequencer
[ program runs on a PC clone under the DOS operating system. MIDI
[ wireline data is sent and received using an MPU401 type MIDI
[ interface card at a dedicated I/O address.
[
[ The programs unique feature is the "piano roll" display which
[ scrolls vertically, unlike other MIDI editors. It was the first
[ program to allow simultaneous display of more than one data track,
[ differentiated by colors, which is very nice when editing organ
[ music with overlapping divisions or keyboard notes. I understand
[ this capability is now available in recent versions of Cakewalk.
