Asbestos in Player Piano Suction Turbine
By David Winkelblech

I read somewhere (perhaps here) about the possibility of asbestos in
older vacuum motors made for player pianos. I have a Duo-Art Pianola
64-note that I have rebuilt and am donating to a nursing home. Can
anyone tell me if this is true? If so, I'll just remove the motor
and they can just use the foot pedals. I would rather leave it intact
if possible. Thanks in advance.
