Perforators Earn More Money Than Music Rolls

Amen, Robbie! I made more money selling the several perforators that
I built than I did selling rolls. Of the thousands of dollars I'd
invested in material and work, I felt fortunate to have recovered the
major part.
As I have my own machine shop and did nearly all of the work myself,
it still cost me a lot of time that I could have put to a different
use where I'd have made a lot more in net income.
The best thing I'd say is that building and using my machines made
for an interesting subject for conversation but it was certainly not
remunerative.
