Recutting B.A.B. & Artizan Rolls
By Dick Hack

I advertised a while back, both in MMD and the Musical Box Society
Bulletin, to find out who wanted 8/inch band organ rolls, as I still
have scheduled an 8/inch project for Harp and Pianolin rolls. Band
organ rolls could easily be done at the same time.

I had only four or five replies covering all formats of these band
organ rolls. To be cost effective to copy each type of roll, I would
need at least six people interested, of each type of roll (like
46-key), and a dozen or more different rolls.

Although the 8/inch project is way behind schedule, Play-Rite (who
perforates my custom projects) will be ready eventually, as they have
always done in the past. My completed projects from Play-Rite include
75-note Welte Orchestrion rolls, 176 note Duo-Art pipe organ rolls,
Aeolian-Skinner (Hammond) rolls, and Mills Violano rolls. Soon will
be the Mills Expression Piano rolls (racehorse, too).

Now is the time to let me know all who are interested in band organ
rolls to see if I can set up to do these rolls when the Pianolin and
Harp rolls are being copied. Play-Rite has a huge project going at
present, and are probably still a year away from the 8/inch rolls.

Please call or email me, if you have not as yet done so as yet,
of any interest in these rolls.

Thank you.
