Band Organs Playing on America's Independence Day
By Bob Taylor

As I started my morning on July 4th, I wondered where in America
individuals were playing their organs to celebrate America's
Independence Day. If MMDers could post a brief comment, it would
be fun.

The idea here is not the band organ rallies but, rather, the "solo"
efforts of a diverse group -- parades, park settings, and neighborhood
gatherings is what I am looking for. My guess is that many people just
drag them out of the garage into the driveway and fire 'em up.

How about some feedback?

Bob Taylor

[ I think Bob's definition is also met by the organized band organ
[ rallies produced in cooperation with other well-advertised public
[ celebrations of Independence Day, including the parades and activities
[ in parks. I welcome reports of performances, including what was
[ said by civic officials, neighborhood leaders, newspapers, etc.
[ Which instruments, and which songs, were most popular? -- Robbie
