Wurlitzer Band Organ Serial Numbers
By Matthew Caulfield

The closest thing that exists for an opus list for Wurlitzer band
organs is the well-known Wurlitzer shipping dock list. Don Rand,
Thomaston, Maine, owns a large part of that list. I think that
at one time Dick Howe, Houston, Texas, owned the other part of it.

Dick once told me that he would be willing -- in fact, eager -- to
publish his part, if Don would do the same with his. But in years past
these data were held close to the chest in the hope, often realized,
that they would furnish leads to undiscovered instruments in the
locations listed in the shipping dock lists.
