Dear all, After recently hearing some pop songs on the Jewel piano
rolls label, I remarked that the same style of arrangement is
recurrent.
I've seen that the tricks and ideas are often in the same manner,
although the artists' names were different, so I suspect that these
names are pseudonyms for one(?) artist pianist/arranger who cut the
rolls for Jewel. A name often appears, Ben Coots, and other's names
(with the same playing/arrangement style) are Al Burton, L. Bradley,
among others.
Could anybody explain to me or give me some infos about this label and
about the arranger artist of the Jewel staff? Who was the main artist?
Are Al Burton and L. Bradley pseudonyms for Ben Coots? Is Ben Coots a
pseudonym?
Many thanks for your kind help,
Benjamin Intartaglia,
Paris, France
