Hi, I've got a project on a Duo-Art that I mentioned earlier.
I purchased a set of schematics for the Duo-Art grand off eBay and
received only an 8-1/2" x 11" piece that was very difficult to read,
let alone understand the complicated connections that were needed.
I tried to blow it up on the photocopy machine, but it was still just
as fuzzy. Instead I scanned the documents with my scanner and then
printed them out at 4x size. (I had to tape them together but it's
worth the effort as the clarity has greatly improved.)
I also noticed that all of the tubing is identified with a number.
I entered these numbers into an Excel sheet with an explanation of
where they are going.
I've sent the schematics and Excel sheet to Robbie for posting on
the MMD web site, in case others may have the same problem following
the small schematic.
Thanks to John Tuttle for a history of the schematic as well:
> I have copies of the mechanical drawings for the 1925 Steinway
> Duo-Art. They were drawn in 1956 by The Morse Equipment Co. in
> Hudson, Ohio. The original drawings measure 42" x 30" (underside)
> and 30" x 24" (topside). To my knowledge they are not copyrighted.
