For Sale: Il Guarany Overture (Gomez) in mint condition with original
seal.
Hi there folks, I have two copies of "Il Guarany Overture" by Gomes
on the Virtuoso label (#300). One copy I use, the other copy is a
virgin, mint condition copy with the ribbon/seal still on (around) it.
While the box has certainly seen [much] better days, the roll is, as
I said, in mint condition. I would like to sell it - needless to say,
for as much as I can. I guess I'm asking for bids if I may be
permitted.
I've sent a color image of the label (of the used roll) to Robbie
so you can see what it looks like. Some day soon I hope to have
a MIDI copy of the roll. It's a neat piece as opera overtures go.
I guess I should add that it is a marimba arrangement. Most of the
melody is in that format.
Anybody interested?
Regards,
J. B. (Ben) Roth

[ I searched the 'Net for information about the song. The
