Hupfeld Claviola Push-up Player
By Roger Waring

John Farrell referred to me having this instrument. It is still
with me and safely stored in my house awaiting rebuild. One day --
when I have run out of commissions -- I shall indeed restore it with
a view to taking it to Jazz Festivals; it's a darn sight lighter than
a full-sized upright!.

I have previously converted an "upside down" Hupfeld upright player
from 73-note to 88. I simply modified the spoolbox and inverted the
air motor. On the Claviola I shall probably do something similar.
When it is working again I shall report further. Probably in 2006!
