Hi group, A friend of the family, who knew I collected mechanical
music, found a book, "The Pianolist's Library Of Music Rolls," in a
used book store and gave to me as a gift. Many people in MMD have a
great deal of knowledge about The Aeolian Company and wonder if anyone
else has seen this book?
It is 7-1/4 inches by 10 inches, hardbound, 58 pages. The title page
says: "The Pianolist's Library of Music Rolls, by Gustav Kobbe', The
Aeolian Company, Aeolian Hall, New York, Copyright, 1918, The Aeolian
Co., N.Y."
The Table of Contents lists the following: Introduction, Salon Music,
Grand Opera, Modern Masters, The Romantic Composers, Fredric Chopin,
Liszt and Wagner, Classics of Symphony and Sonatas.
It lists compositions, composers, and a brief description of the piece.
I am curious if this is a common publication or somewhat rare.
